Country Club Hills History

Country Club Hills is in the northwest corner of Arlington County. It is near the Washington Golf and Country Club. It is also near Marymount University. It is, topographically, one of the highest places in Arlington. There are 500 homes in Country Club Hills. Home sizes range from 1,500 square feet to 10,000 square feet.

In Country Club Hills, there is a lot of good access to commuter routes, Glebe Road, George Washington Parkway, Chain Bridge, Lee Highway and Key Bridge. Country Club Hills is part of the Yorktown High School district, and borders on the county line with Fairfax.

The neighborhood was built in 1956. The land was purchased to be developed by the Brumback realty Co. in 1929, when they began advertising for housing on the most main streets.
